GG Allin
There isn't much more to be said about GG Allin that has not already been said and the stories that you have heard are all true. We always thought that some of GG's strongest material was his acoustic songs, so we approached GG about doing a full-length acoustic record back in 1991. As we worked through the ideas, we thought that a country style album would be fitting. The result is what became known as Carnival Of Excess. The audio CD is available now through the Ponk web site and also at your favorite music outlet. if not, demand it! We are in the process of finishing the DVD and hope to have it ready in late March. The DVD will feature unreleased interview footage, music videos, acoustic songs and other unreleased goodies.
In addition, Ponk will be releasing a CD/DVD combo pack titled "GG Unplugged" that will feature acoustic songs from the COE sessions and also the classic Troubled Troubadour E.P. The DVD portion will have GG performing acoustic songs and also have music videos and some other cool and rare material as well. We are in the process of finishing that up and hope to have it ready in mid March.
